While my bat identification skills are weak, I believe I have a Hoary Bat
roosting in my oak tree. The bat is roosting on the south(street) side of the
easternmost trunk, about 10 feet off the ground. Readily visible from the
street, if you know it’s there. Given the temperatures forecasted for the next
few days, I doubt it’s going anywhere anytime soon.
Feel free to come take a look. The address is 3114 79th. It’s at the
northeast corner of 79th and Gary. Feel free to use the driveway. I work from
the house and will be glad to point it out if you need help finding it,
providing I’m available. I do have a meeting this afternoon beginning at 1:00,
that may last a couple of hours.
