Greetings Folks:
This is a bit delayed (the holdup was due to a well photographed but
unassignable Blue-headed/Cassin's Vireo) but I did visit Clapp Park on the
5th and there were some goodies about.
I spent a little over two hours at the park during the early evening,
racking up 33 species of bird, including 2 American Wigeons, 3 Blue-winged
Teals, 1 Northern Shoveler, 8 Green-winged Teals, 1 Green Heron, 1
Yellow-crowned Night Heron, 2 Chimney Swifts, 1 Blue-headed/Cassin's Vireo,
2 Hermit Thrushes, 1 Gray Catbird, 1 Brown Thrasher, 1 male Common
Yellowthroat, 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler, 3 Wilson's Warblers, 2 Song
Sparrows, and 1 Lincoln's Sparrow.
Some nifty birds but nothing new for my site list this year:(
