Jan Jannett and I spent a pleasant morning birding Bison Rd. in Levelland.
There is still a good amount of water and a nice assortment of birds at the
playa. Word of caution, there are 3 pieces of wire sticking up out of the
road after you pass the "trash pile" (you can't miss it - tvs, washer,
dryer, mattress, etc.) when you turn off of Alamo Rd. onto Bison Rd.

Comments: Light winds and clear skies. Ended up in the mid-70's. Bright
light made for difficult light conditions though. Sun was already high in
