I've been taking some casual walks with my daughter, not really birdwatching,
but keeping an eye out anyway. For the record: This morning in the arboretum,
there was a brilliant male American goldfinch. Just the one. Yesterday, along
the creek that enters Mackenzie Park from the east (where snipe hang out), but
upstream from there almost toward Parkway towards MLK, we saw a male bluebird.
I assumed it was a Western, but in hindsight I probably should have looked more
closely. Also a male and female bronzed cowbird.
