- Usually there is a feature on your GPS that allows you to select a waypoint and from there you can bring up a menu to project from that point. I have a garmin. Maybe someone here can help you with the magellan. On the garmin, I just put in distance and bearing on the project WP screen and viola! It creates a new waypoint. My manual (Sportrak Map) doesn't explicitly mention projecting waypoints, so I'm a little in the dark. > I think that one way to do this might be: To put my Magellan SportTrak Map in a fine-scale map screen on the cursor mode. Then I just move the cursor until it indicates on the bottom of the screen the data I want. For example, if the cache info wants me to go BRG 090, 432 ft. I run the cursor out from my position until those numbers show up on the bottom of the screen, and then I just walk to the cursor. Is that right? If not, can you help? > > I think several caches I've found, notably ST caches, would have been easier if I knew how to project waypoints.
