I haven't hiked in via the new entrance yet but it appears to be about the same distance as before or slightly shorter. You'll just be entering from the East instead of the West. The parking lot is sizeable, I'd say 10-20 cars could fit in there. How many cars will the new parking lot hold and how far do you estimate will the hike be from the new lot to the caches? I want to update the Calendar entry and then shoot out an email blast closer to the event. N 38º 25.364 W 90º 41.925 As far as I know the old entrance is still open too, the land owners had granted an easement to the preserve. Who's planning this get together ? Are we bringing food or eating in town afterward ? Barry, aka Barramus, aka Tumbleoak [GeoStL] Re: New Year's Caching a.. From: "Barry Bryant" <barramus@xxxxxxxxx> b.. The new lot is closer to Eureka and much easier to get to. There is parking for about 20 cars. The cache codes for the Labarque Trilogy are: GCMN2X GCMN2T GCMN2W We've talked about the trip and are going to have to coordinate parking since there is limited parking at that site at this point and we'll need to "car pool" so that there's room for everyone. Keep an eye out for more details in an email blast later this month.
