[GeoStL] Re: Using the same start point for two caches? Is this allowed?

If I understand correctly from Glenn, it IS OK to use an existing WP used in
another cache as long as it is something existing and permanent, such as a
information sign, date on a bridge, etc. However, if it is a tag someone
placed, or a container with a number in/on it, or the final location for an
existing cache, then it is not.

There are lots of caches out there that use the same starting point, such as a
parking lot, for the first WP of a multi or offset.

I'm sure Glenn will step in if needed to clarify this.

I always thought that if a stage in a multi is static (i.e., no actual
container, just a landmark containing a clue) it is exempt from the 0.1 rule...

  - Wouldn't it then be a waypoint in a multi-cache? If so, wouldn't that fall
under the 0.1 mile separation rule?

Not sure I understand what you are asking or of it is allowed, but one issue
is when caches are at the same point or very close, you can only see one on
    the GPS.

Hello, guys...I have a question about an idea I had...

A long time ago I placed a cache (GC10AT0) that had the posted coordinates
lead you to a marker where the cacher had to find elements within the marker
to get the final cache coordinates.

My question is this...is it permitted to utilize that same sign as a start
    point for another cache?

I would use it like before, only this time the numbers attained would be
used to create the call number to find the book cache within the library
(which is next to said marker).

If not, would it be okay to use the same marker as a starting point for the
cacher to take the call number and go inside to find the cache?

    Thanks!
