Welcome Matt and Lauren and happy geocaching to you. I have a Garmin Etrex Legend gps. I bought it specifically for geocaching and had never seen or used one prior to this fabulous hobby. It was recommended by my cousin who is in the military. If you are looking for something that is affordable and doesn't have the bells and whistles like some, but still gets you where you need to go then I suggest this model.
