- Your hiking boots may not be fit properly for you foot. If they are loose, try getting some inserts or wear thicker socks. Get a good pair of non-cotton socks to wear in the hiking boots. That will help wick away moisture and help to reduce blistering.

I have a pair of Wolverine Goretex boots that I use when I am in the woods. They keep my feet dry yet they breathe. They are one of the best investments I have made.

Hey All, we are planning a caching trip through TN, AR, and OK in a couple of weeks, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what type of shoes to take. I have tennis shoes and a cheap pair of hiking boots. My tennis shoes don't last very long on rough terrain, and my hiking boots give me blisters on paved trails. Are there any shoes that are comfortable both in the woods and on paved trails?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Laurie (Denmother)
