Hi,
Here are things to expect with NVDA (a Windows screen reader) and
BrailleNote:
* BrailleNote family is supported as a braille display starting
with 2013.1.
* All BrailleNote models are supported (Classic, PK, mPower and
Apex).
* All models support serial connection (Apex included if you use
USB to serial adapter for Apex). In addition, PK, mPower and
Apex supports Bluetooth connection and Apex supports USB.
* QT will behave like BT when used as a braille display with
NVDA. There is a long-term plan to allow full QWERTY
functionality on QT models.
* A major limitation with Apex as a bluetooth display has been
lifted with NVDA (you can name your Apex to whatever you like;
NVDA uses a smart approach to find Apex). However, for
compatibility with other devices, leave the name of your Apex as
is (default name, which is Apex followed by six dcgits of the
serial number).
* You can type text using computer braille. However, due to
issues with BACKSPACE and ENTER keys when other keys are pressed,
you can type lowercase letters for now.

You cannot install NVDA on any Braillenote. What I think you are
asking, though, is if the Apex will work as a braille display
with NVDA. if so, yes, it will. I am not sure what the QT model
will do, but support for all Braillenotes was added recently.
