I wrote to Greg Stilson about this, and just got an email from
him. Here's his answer:
Regarding NLS, we are working with NLS to get the Touch certified
within the VR app. For the time being, however, you can play
books
in the NLSBard app from the playstore. They work quite well in
this app.
Given his response, I don't think it would be right of us to
bother NLS about this.
