Yes, you need to buy both; you can't upgrade to 8.0 without a license,
and I believe you'll have to purchase 7.5 to get there. You don't need
to install 7.5, but you do need to pay for it to get to 8., and you
need 8.0 to get to 8.1. Call Humanware before you make any purchases,
though, since they might have a package deal or sale on multiple
upgrades.
