A rep from the Braille Institute was just here talking about various
gadgets and things to help vision impaired; most of what she told us abut I
don't need; I've earned to compensate for my loss of vision e.g. I've
learned how to pour liquid *into* a glass instead of outside it and I know
how to not fill a glass too close to the top so it would overflow smile;
she had no gadget that would warn me that a glass placed to my left is on
my blind spot; fortunately I have friends who notice and move it smile
She did talk about a video camera for the computer that sounds like
something I could really use for my Booksharework; she said one puts the
print book flat on a tray, the camera is above it and takes a picture of
the page that can be enlarged; do any of you have anything Ike that? I see
there are several on Amazon for reasonable prices; if any of you has
one and has used it tplease let me know which you recommend; thank you
