Of course, E, if the mis-spelled word is a real word
spell-checking won't help. That's why, when I find a
scanning error that is a real word, I use find and
replace, and replace the wrong word one word at a time
so the word that is correct for one context isn't
wrong for the next. In most cases, it doesn't take
too long. In a case such as Bud mentioned yesterday,
"die" for "the," it will take a long time--but a
global replace can't be used because "die" might be
needed, especially if the book is a muerder mystery.

Yesterday in my book "and" and become "arid."
Fortunately, there weren't to many instances of that
and it didn't take too long to fix.
