Hi Amber,
You might try playing with the resolution and threshhold settings.
Sometimes the optimize feature I think favors the lower settings for some
reason. I generally find that punctuation in paperbacks comes out a bit better
on 400 dpi than 300, which is almost always what the optimize feature
determines.
