I'm using Openbook V6.01 and it doesn't seem to want anything to do with
BRF files either.

I suspect the reason this isn't working is that Phyllis has quite an old
version of Openbook. Kurzweil didn't back-translate until version 5 or 6, so
maybe older version of Openbook didn't either.
