IMHO, the practice some people have of grabbing several books at a time and hanging on to them is not a particularly good one. How many books can one person really work on at one time? Wouldn't it be better to just get one or 2, finish them, then get more, leaving open the possibility that someone else might do the others you thought about? That seems more efficient a way to get more books into the collection faster. If some book looks particularly interesting, just do that one first, instead of kinda reserving it for yourself later by grabbing it. After all, someone else might be equally interested, and do it quicker than you might get around to it.
Just my thoughts.
Tracy
