Cindy L R: If the dyslexia is severe enough to make reading difficult, then your friend is eligible for bookshare & the criteria is pretty much the same as for a blind person, e.g., if their doctor or psychologist or whatever states they are severely dyslexic or if they're a member of nls (which I rather doubt). I don't think RFB&D qualifies but am not certain. Generally speaking, apple computers come w/speech built into the OS, called voice-over. See if your friend might have it on her machine.
