Hi, Stacey, I have a combination approach which I fell into and seems to
work for me. I'm fortunate in that I have a Braille notetaker with a Braille
display hooked up to my computer via serial port. Basically what I do is
listen to the text using my screen reader (which is the same as yours) and
following along with my hand on the Braille display. I think of this as akin
to a double-screen flour sifter, what one misses the other gets. One thing
that was passed on to me is to make a copy of the file you've checked out
and proofread your copy, leaving the original file strictly alone. There are
some little things that were sent along to me which I use before going into
a book which have to do with formatting stuff. I don't know if you have
Skype or not, but if so, I'd be glad to converse with you so you can pick my
brain or that of other list members. Welcome to the deranged perfectionist.
