Hi, Cindy!

Thanks for forwarding my message!

I'm the "other" Allison btw. I'm Allison H. I just use H for my display name on email cuz this email is used for various other email lists, I figure for all of them, my name need not be plastered all over the internet via archives. <<smile>.

Allison Mervis is the one who submitted Vixens by Bertrice Small. I know that's gotta be kind of confusing. I try to distinguish my name somehow though cuz I don't want poor Allison Mervis to be blamed for some of the crazy stuff I write on this list!

I'm also the one who was looking for Xmas gift suggestions the other day. Thanks so much for your help! I don't need any other suggestions though, sorry. Thanks much for your offer though. Glad you liked thinking up ideas. I'll keep you in mind next time around definitely!

How exciting about your daughter's wedding btw, that sounds like a really nice time. Made even more exciting cuz of your not having to pay for it though I'm sure. :-) Is it over the holidays? I whish her lots of luck.

Best,
Allison H. (the other Allison).

Hi all,

I am currently working on the following. I'm
posting them just encase, I didn't want anyone
starting on them, particularly the first of the two
since we have many other kid book scanners here.
Hope you guys like.

Messenger By Lois Lowry. It's the 2004 companion
book to The Giver and Gathering Blue by the same
author.

Also, Can't Buy My Love: How Advertising Changes
the Way We Think and Feel
By Jean Kilbourne and Mary Pipher.

Can someone forward these to the regular Bookshare
Discuss list for me? I'm not on it at the moment.
So many messages, so little time. Thanks in
advance..

And just to add this in, two great things happened
to me today- I got my scanner back up and running
and I found a great sale at Barns and Noble! Yes,
it was quite a day.

I haven't had my scanner up since my move cross
country. I finally got it unburied from the box it
was lodged in and got it going. I missed it, I
really did, and I'm not even the hugest scanning
fan! I just got Kurzweil 9 though and can't wait to
try it out.

Allison H.
