G. Cindy,I saw Grease when I was 7 or 8 and the message I got from it was that love overcomes everything. *G* I found it to be a fun movie and when I left the theater, I was singing and dancing with myself. I think that was the message most of the kids got. My friends just concentrated on the music and learning all the lyrics. *L* Ah, the good old days.

I didn't realize until Jake said, and it was just confirmed, that hate speech was to be marked Adult. I hadn't come across any like that, but I'm glad to hear it, but also glad to hear that parents can arrange for their teenagers to have access to a particular book or to any book at all if they feel they are mature enough. When my girls were in their preteens, I wouldn't let them watch All in the Family, because I didn't want them to hear some of the language or to get the idea that Archie Bunker's opinions were o.k. Also, I think my husband was wrong in this, he wouldn't let them see Grease, when they were 7 and 8, because he didn't want them to get the idea that it was good to change and conform just for the sake of others. Maybe he and a point. I do think teenagers are less impressionable and more able to distinguish right from wrong, and satire from seriousness, at least with parental discussions.
