You absolutely need to double check with Vanesssa before you start emailing whole books around. Either she doesn't know about the legal issues, or you misunderstood her.
Either way, it's been made quite clear many times that emailing entire books between volunteers is strictly forbidden.
Unless there's been a change that noone from Bookshare staff has mentioned here, if you email whole books to anyone, you will lose your volunteer status.
As I recall, ten percent of a book is the limit of what you can email to someone.

I have already received a few other responses, so no need for your help anyway.

Hi, Kristen!

I am sorry that your tool does not allow you to adjust or verify font size
before submitting books. I have to say, however, I am very concerned that
Vanessa is considering this something that she can approve when it seems to
be in direct conflict with the Chaffee amendment. We had requested this in
the past and the legal department had told us this was not acceptable.

I would be very afraid of losing my privileges by participating in something
like this. If it is now permissible, then there needs to be verification so
as to protect people participating in this process.

Not trying to be a wet blanket, but there are a lot of conditions to all the
privileges that we enjoy as a result of the Chaffee amendment.

Hi, all-

I proofread using a BrailleNote and cannot adjust/verify font size before
submitting books. Vanessa has approved my e-mailing an RTF to a sighted
volunteer who will make the appropriate changes to font for me after I
have finished all other proofreading modifications.

The volunteer with whom I have been working can no longer help with this
as her health is declining. I am finishing up a book tonight and plan to
check it in within a couple days. If any sighted volunteers out there
would be willing to look over my formatting and send the file back via
e-mail, please write to me off-list at kmsteele6@xxxxxxxxx. I am in need
of a couple people I can use as resources in the future.

Thanks in advance!
