HI, Cindy. I saw that book when it was added and downloaded it. From the way it looked, it was submitted by some kind of university or other institution like that, so it was probably scanned as a text for their students, which probably explains why they did it so carefully. Take care. Julie Morales Life is a gift from God. What we do with it is our gift to Him. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cindy" <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: "Brett Winchester" <BWinches@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, February 09, 2006 8:32 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Archaeology of the Lands of the Bible added to collection Unbelievably quickly, Archaeology of the Lands of the Bible has been added to the collection. I don't know who originally scanned it, but they really did an excellent job. I think Elizabeth, you worked on it, didn't you? I admit that I did not read it as I usually do when I validate, but I did put in hard page breaks and made sure that there were not missing lines at the top and bottom of the pages. Also, my spell-check was on as I checked pagination, and where there were words that weren't place names I fixed them. The place names, which I did check as I went along, seemed o.k. I think I fixed most end-of the line hyphenations, but I don't promise. I did scan and insert missing pages and deleted some duplicate pages. If you're interested in the subject, it looks like an interesting and readable book--even though scholarly. I did nothing with the index or bibliography, but I think the scanner must have, because both looked more readable and well-arranged than others I've seen. So kudos to whoever was the person who submitted it, and I apologize for its taking so long to get into the collection--my fault and that of previous validators who released it, not the administrators, who approved it overnightm it seems. Now if they'd only approve and add Robin Cook's Brain and Maynard Kendrick's Last Express replacement for the one in the collection, I'd have nothing else to gripe about. smile.
