MIL-HDBK-762 is exactly what I was looking for, thanks a bunch! I'll also
check out the other recommendations and if they aren't terribly expensive, will
add them to my research library.
Does anybody else have recommendations?

Textbooks: - Anderson is always approachable
("Modern Compressible Flow" would be a good one)
but is generally light on the aeroheating.-
Bertin's "Aerodynamics for Engineers" not
quite as approachable, more of a wing focus, but addresses
more of the heating issues.
For missile/rocket configs
MIL-HDBK-762 is great, free and applicable.

Hey
all,
I am looking for an approachable yet useful introduction to
the subject. Out of print books or web references are
equally good. I would like to be able to calculate simple
cases of drag and heating.
Thanks!
