The Crab Nebula/Taurus A/M1 hosts a pulsar in the center of the nebula. It is an X-ray, microwave, and visible-light pulsar at about 30Hz pulse
  rate.  The tangential velocity of that thing must be vomit-inducing :)

On a night with good "seeing", and for some observers, you can actually see the optical pulsations.
