To the appreciated Wisdom holders on the list,
Well, Since there has been so much talk about solids lately,
Of which I know very little, I would like to ask about ADN.
(Ammonium DiNitramide)
Now it seems that mixing it with methanol/et,al. and calling it a green
liquid mono-propellant is popular, but it is a solid first.
(A solid more prone to detonation than AP, but compared to AN ?)
It seems to be an oxidizer similar to AN or AP, but with slightly
higher performance, depending on propellant formulation.
(ISP performance, maybe not density-Isp ?)
I'm sure in small quantities, it is pricey.
My main question is: What is it like to work with and why
is it not used more often ?
