Alpen-Adria-Universitaet Klagenfurt, Austria, announces the following open
position:
Postdoc-Assistant (Assistant Professor, f/m)
at the Department of Operations, Energy, and Environmental Management, research
group Sustainable Energy Management (Prof. Dr. Nina Hampl). This is a full-time
(100%) position (Uni-KV: B1 lit. b). The minimum salary is € 3,590.70 before
taxes (14 times a year). The non-tenure track position is limited to 6 years.
Starting date is as soon as possible.
The newly founded research group Sustainable Energy Management focuses on
interdisciplinary research in the field of social acceptance of renewable
energy and related technologies with specific emphasis on market (e.g. consumer
and investor behavior and decision making, risk assessment and perception) and
community acceptance issues (e.g. related to large-scale renewable energy
projects), and the promotion of energy efficient behavior to provide
implications for research, industry and policy making.
Tasks and responsibilities:
– Contribution to existing research projects and acquisition, execution and
coordination of own (third-party funded) research projects including the
supervision of small teams
– Publications in international academic journals and participation in
national and international academic and industry conferences
– Scientific knowledge transfer to industry and policy making
– Graduate and undergraduate teaching in English and/or German and
supervision of Bachelor and Master theses
– Contribution to administrative and organizational tasks
– Contribution to the further development of the research group Sustainable
Energy Management and its teaching program
Required qualifications:
– PhD or Doctorate in Business Administration, Management, Economics or a
related discipline with a specific focus on one or more of these or related
fields: renewable energies, low carbon technologies, energy efficiency,
sustainability, sustainable energy management
– Above-average academic achievements
– Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative empirical research
– Refereed scientific publications
– Competence in teaching at university level
– Excellent knowledge of the English language
Preferred qualifications:
– Experience in acquisition and execution of research projects
– Ability to work cooperatively in a team
– Willingness to learn German (if German is not native language)
– Willingness to participate in shaping the profile of the research group
The position does not offer the possibility for tenure (non-tenure track).
