What is the motivation of the Summer School?
This summer school will bridge the gap between disciplinary PhD-programs and
transdisciplinary (TD) research practice by introducing new TD approaches such
as Real World Laboratories and TD methods such as .boundary objects or
stakeholder dialogues.
Special attention will be given to knowledge integration as this is one of the
major cognitive challenges in TD research.
Building a strong network and exchanging experiences between you, as young
scientists, and leading international senior researchers will be the main focus
in lectures, workshops and open spaces.

international scientists on state-of-the-art TD methods
* You will enhance your skills in designing, conducting and evaluating TD
research projects
* You will be able to reflect your own experiences in inter- and
transdisciplinary projects against the other participants' and senior
