Hi Mike,

        We can try two things

        1. Windows client
set SQLFONT (in registry) to a font that is capable of
displaying the language of interest. Assuming a correct NLS_LANG setting in the
client
        2. Unix
Telnet to a UNIX box and then do 1. stty istrip 2. set the
characterset part of NLS_LANG to UTF8 and export it 3. select the data.

Best Regards

Sriram Kumar

Subject: Win2K/Ora9iR2/Unicode

Hi All!

We're experimenting with Unicode in Oracle 9i. We've experimented
with the various NLS_LANG settings, but I cannot seem to get
Unicode characters to display properly. I've tried SQL*Plus for
Windows, SQL*Plus for HP-UX, and iSQL*Plus. No Joy anywhere.

Has anybody fought with this before? Know any good tips or
pointers?

Thanks,
Mike
