Robert, I can understand your thinking, but I think our engineering friends
are working on ways to make the Optacon work even better for less money with
more up-to-date design. I cheer and applaud their dedicated efforts.

Robert here. to be honest, it sounds like many are trying to improve a
product that really doesn't need improvement. As far as I am concerned,
the R1D is as perfect as it can be, given what the optacon does. It is
comfortable to use, the camera tracks well, and finger plate is fine, and
it seems to me that there is not much to improve; if it's not broken,
don't fix it.
