Thanks Dan. I'll have a go at that. I could use the regular camera on invert mode or the CRT, but the CRT lens made the characters larger than was comfortable for me. I'll check it out. I have a Samsung flat screen, and before I had a talking screen reader I tried the CRT lens on invert, but didn't really manage. Have you ever tried to set a programme for a vidio recorder by using your Optacon on the TV screen? I have an LCD display, the fourth I've used since August 2001, and I use Windows XP; I usually don't use a CRT lens, but I use a regular R1D optacon with the standard lens attached, in the standard, not the invert, setting. It works quite well, and the print from the screen is very readable. I don't get any flicker or pulsing at all. I've had much less success with CRT monitors, the old, heavy ones; some of those weren't any good at all, and others required a CRT optacon lens with an optacon 2 (the newer optacons) set in one of the three modes.
