While at Blazie Engineering back in 1996-2000 I was introduced to the Optacon
and refreshable Braille display technologies. Now I have become involved with
a some new devices that just might be applicable to these displays. However,
now I have to "fill in some gaps" re designs that have already been tried -and
failed! To this end I'm reviewing 80+ patents directly related to these
displays.

To Linux Phil (ex Blazie, Stuart): if you catch this email please let me know
where you are at right now. Not in Florida?

To the Group: I will appreciate any input that you can give to specific
questions as they arise - it is obvious that your first hand, collective
knowledge is substantial!

  Best Regards,
  Keith Shaw
