As I said before, they're an inappropriate tool.  People use them as a cheap
way to magnify an entire TV screen, computer screen, or, a sheet of paper.
The problem is optical distortion for off-axis viewing.  Besides they're the
entirely wrong (useless) tool for increasing magnification of characters
smaller than 6 points in height on to the retina of an Optacon camera.
However, people surely have the right to waste time and effort on what they
refuse to understand or listen to.

I've seen them.  They're like a thick piece of flexible plastic but don't
magnify much as far as the Optacon is concerned.  Maybe there are some
strong ones.  If it weren't for the price the lens sounds great.  I had
never heard of a magnifying one.
