Hello,
Yes I had many experience with Windows intallation too. Some months ago I made
a totally fresh Windows 10 installation using Optacon.
And how many times I used it to check my computer screen during crashes?
I do not know how much.
Also, in the 80s or 90s I used daily my lens camera for teletext reading.
And what about linux-based satellite TV receivers without any voice guide
option in the operating system? I just setup one no more than 2 months ago.
These are only few examples of my extensive Optacon usage.
I just spoke many many times about Optacon with people that have the chance to
contact manufacturers or dealers at high levels, and many times they saw with
their eyes how powerful Optacon could be. No need to make movies or photos. But
they are totally deaf in this direction, exactly like we are blind.
We can just hope for a revival one day, but I stopped to believe in it.

I have installed and modified Windows using an optacon, and the last

also worked in the bios using an optacon.?? In both cases, now one can do
this with Windows 10 and their narrator.

Wow that is really mind-boggling. I don't know of any other way of updating
a device like that which wouldn't require sighted assistance. I suggest
people document their use cases in case we are ever fortunate enough to
create enough interest in a new optacon. These uses could be documented
using a mobile phone to make videos and then sharing the videos. A picture
paints a thousand words.
I'm glad to see the optacon list is alive and well.

Hello,
Anyone tried to upgrade firmware of any electronic device using Optacon to
read its display?
I made such operation this morning, updating my digital piano firmware.
And this is not the first time! Last week I completed a new setup of my DAB+
radio receiver???. and so on for more electronic devices.
So, yes, Optacon strikes again!
