Well, optaconers, I received an important letter with a reference number.
I read the letter with my scanner, but used the optacon to check the
reference number. It was wonderful to be able to confirm the reference
number was correct. It was a combination of numbers and letters, which
often give me trouble. I sometimes misread the number 4 and think it is a
capital A. But since I had the scanner to help, it was a good combination
of the older technology of the optacon and the scanning technology. I
still get a kick out of actually feeling under my index finger what
sighted people see, regarding shape of letters, and layout of the page.
