Perhaps more people who would like such an idea. You would need someone
who volunteer as the list moderator. From there, I guess it is a rather
easy job to set up the list, though I never investigated. If anyone has
experience in how, or where to go, let us know.
I do know there used to be a list or two, for discussing GPS products
for the blind. But the ones I know of, were product-specific. What you
are asking, I think would be more of topic-based. Still, it does stir
some interest. So let us know when such a list would see the day.

I totally agree with you that the Braille maps produced today are
nothing like as good as those produced years ago. The plastic
maps of the 1960's were brilliant, showing towns, rivers,
mountains of different heights, borders, etc.
Even map books produced over a hundred years ago were far better
than the ones produced today.
Keep well.
