I have used Skype for the last year with admittedly mixed results but
now use it as my primary long distance phone.

When I take my MBP on the road I can use my BT headset and Skype to
call my family at home on the PC via a USB enabled portable phone for
free.

In short, $14.95 per year for unlimited long distance to any phone in
North America is very inexpensive and I am finding the call quality
is getting better very quickly.

Skype-to-Skype free calls anywhere in the World is also a real benefit.

Is the technology perfect? By no means. Does it work? Definitely. Am
I recommending it? Absolutely.

Cheers,

Michael
