I am so happy with the number of members who have come forward to
offer their services to MUGLO. The forthcoming meeting has:

Doug Rogers, Doug Bale, Joe Nolan, Terry Genereaux, Gerhard Kuhn
discussing features and issues on subjects like:

iPhone/Blackberry
Automator
Backup Programs
Tethering computer to phone
New Software and iTouch

If I've missed your name above and you can join in on any of the
topics, please let me know.

-----------------------------------

Last May, I was pretty bummed out after Terry offered his place for a
summer BBQ and no one responded. We got a few hits 3 weeks later,
when he offered to throw in a couple dozen hotdogs and a case of beer
- but a couple of them referred back to the offer/invitation of 3
weeks previous. Perhaps I wasn't communicating well. Perhaps many are
busy in the summer and the timing is not good.

When we talked about elections and meetings, I suggested that we
needed help in a number of areas which I listed. Again it put a deadly
silence to a normally chatty Muglo group.

I thought "screw it" and told Alastair at Westmount Library to forget
the dates that I had locked in for the rest of the year.

However, I could see that there were Muglo people helping Muglo people
on the internet and decided to give it one more try.

When I asked if someone could output 20 posters and deliver them to
Westmount Library (I live in St.Thomas), Doug Plumley, Chris Hannon,
Doug Rogers and Terry Genereaux jumped up and offered their services.
When it came to various topics, all who were approached - said without
hesitation that they would gladly help. Doug Feick emailed and met
with me to suggest a topic that he could talk about and demonstrate
for October - namely Audacity - converting analog VHS, 78 rpm, 45 rpm
and 33 rpm to digital and putting on DVD or CD.

Well now I am totally UN-bummed <G>. Thanks everyone!
