At the risk of raising the ire of the anti-disestablishmentarian
establishmentarians I'll post this FYI. It seems that it still is
possible, and likely, will continue to be possible for registrants to
change their contact info WITHOUT requiring a massive amount of
paperwork.

How to Confirm your Registration
During this confirmation process you will have the opportunity to
provide CIRA with the necessary consent and information that is
required to complete the registration. If you do not complete all of
the steps of the confirmation procedure in time, the registration will
be cancelled. The cancellation will occur without any further notice
to you.
STEP 1. Verify the registration information that has been submitted to
CIRA by your Registrar
STEP 2. Confirm that you have read and agree to CIRA's Registrant
Agreement and the CIRA Policies, and the Rules and Procedures
applicable thereto
STEP 3. Indicate your CIRA membership intention
STEP 4. Advise CIRA whether or not you authorize your Registrar to
change your registration information without requiring verification
from you and /or the Applicant.
STEP 5. Final confirmation
STEP 4 - Authorize your Registrar
to change registration information.
Your Registrar (CAregistration.com) Add Value International Inc. has
requested, on your behalf, that CIRA no longer require you to confirm
critical changes to your registration information with CIRA. If you
wish to grant your Registrar (CAregistration.com) Add Value
International Inc. this authority you must confirm this to CIRA on
this web page.
This authority will allow your Registrar (CAregistration.com) Add
Value International Inc. to change critical registration information,
such as the name, the mailing address, and email address of your
administrative contact - the key person to manage your registration
with CIRA, without CIRA requiring confirmation from your
administrative contact.
If you grant your Registrar (CAregistration.com) Add Value
International Inc. this authority, your Registrar (CAregistration.com)
Add Value International Inc. is only permitted to make changes to your
registration information if you explicitly instruct your Registrar
(CAregistration.com) Add Value International Inc. to make such
changes.
You should only grant this authority to your Registrar
(CAregistration.com) Add Value International Inc. if you fully
understand the implications of doing so and wish to do so. If you do
not grant your Registrar (CAregistration.com) Add Value International
Inc. this authority, all critical changes to your registration
information, requested by your Registrar (CAregistration.com) Add
Value International Inc. , will require CIRA to seek the approval of
your administrative contact prior to making any changes. If you have
any questions or concerns about granting this authority or how your
