Firstly Happy Holidays I am an avid reader of MacAddict and MacWorld and in recent articles that I have read Norton is no longer making products for Mac and no longer offer support. I have never used Norton on my system but have a friend who does and is constantly having problems with it I told him to delete it from his system and has not had a problem since. He now uses the built in disk utility and says his system has ran silky smooth ever since. Hope this is some help to you.
