[muglo] Mail

How do I get rid of the "58 messages-58 messages deleted" that appears
at the top of Mail? I recently switched to Mail as Sympatico has now
adopted the MSN platform and I can't send messages from Entourage
(Office 2001). I believe I can eliminate that problem with Office 2004
upgrade when I can afford it.
However, I don't want to know how many messages I have read since I
started using the program!!
