A guy at the Apple Store figured out how to recover the full chronological list
of saved events that the iPhone no longer gives you with a single tap of the
magnifying glass (which still works on the iPad). It took him ten minutes to
find it — or rather ten minutes before figuring out how to find it reliably,
after stumbling on it twice without realizing quite how he'd done it; third
time was the charm. The trick, it turns out, to forget about the magnifier
altogether; double-tap on any date, then tap the red icon to the LEFT of the
magnifier, et le voila!---
