[muglo] AppleWorks Help Viewer Problem

I'm having a problem with Help Viewer in AppleWorks 6.2.9 on OS
10.3.9. Every time I try to access a link in AppleWorks Help, I get
the message:

"AppleWorks does not know how to access the selected url...." and
then it gives the url.

However, I can access the clipping files in AppleWorks.

I've gone on the Apple discussion forum re AppleWorks and I see there
are a few posts relating to this topic or other problems with Help
Viewer. The posts mention two articles in Apple Knowledgebase: 25667
and 43002. However, I've tried all the suggestions listed and it
made no difference.

One post mentioned the XLab website's lengthy discussion about
problems with Help Viewer and what to do. Regarding this particular
problem, the XLab suggested Resetting Help Viewer, Rule out
Internet-Related Issues or Rule out Incompatible Items at Startup. I
haven't tried all these suggestions, but one of them was to reinstall
Help Viewer with Pacifist.

I never got a response to my post below about Pacifist, but here's
another reason why I may want to get it. Has any one had any
experience with Pacifist, or any suggestions about how to deal with
this AppleWorks Help Viewer problem?

I suspect it may be a problem with Help Viewer itself, as I'm also
having a problem with Help Viewer in terms of my Canon colour
printer. Although the Canon Help Viewer works, sometimes it takes a
long time to load up a different screen, e.g. going from the home
screen to a particular topic.

Please advise. Thanks.

Leith
