the common black hawk is not in this area and i have not posted these
images yet but i still thought you might enjoy a couple shots from big
bend NP last month. they were nesting in cottonwoods near the rio grande.
in the first photo the male had just brought the female a meal.
according to audubon there may be only about 250 nesting pairs in the US.
