My guess, given the bill shape, would be immature House Finch.

I walked the path from the dam southeast til the big field near the loop. It 
was there I saw two Dickcissels. Then, I walked around the trails on the 
north side of the dam. I saw several female Bullocks Orioles and adult and 
juvenile Verdin.

While I was chasing the verdin around to get a good picture, I saw this bird 
in the picture.  I didn’t get another good look since it flew off.

Do y’all have any idea what it is?
