Greetings All:
So far it has been a slow month for me (in my area - I did enjoy the TOS
meeting quite a bit, though, and that was not slow at all) as I separated
several bones in my foot and displaced a couple of ligaments - which has
led to me wearing a 'boot' and moving slowly, if at all, the last several
weeks.
I have, however, managed to see a few goodies
On 1 May 2017 Drew Harvey picked out a Yellow Warbler in my Lubbock yard.
On 3 May 2017 I spotted two male Orchard Orioles chasing each other in my
Lubbock yard - frisky migrants.
Also on 3 May 2017, Drew Harvey and I spotted 1 Great Egret and 1 Snowy
Egret at Leroy Elmore Park (Lubbock County), 3 Canada Geese, 15 Franklin's
Gulls, and 3 White-faced Ibis in Slaton (Lubbock County), 1 Forster's Tern
and 1 Great Egret at Stone Lake (Lubbock County), 2 Black-necked Stilts and
1 Cooper's Hawk near Post (Garza County) and 1 Common Raven near
Justiceburg (Garza County) on our way out of the region and down to the TOS
meeting.
