Hi All,
I went to Clapp Park at mid-morning, hoping to find the Western Tanager
(which I did not see!) The birding was hot along the nature trail on the
west end where the culverts run underneath the trail. This is where I found
most of the warblers. Also, on the west end of the trail, in the wooded area
where homeless are sometimes seen sleeping, at the far south end near a large
willow and a tall, skinny mulberry tree, is where I spotted the Blackpoll
warbler and a Willow Flycatcher. I may also have seen a Red-eyed vireo, but
I only had a glmpse and then it was gone. Below is a partial listing of the
some of the more interesting sightings.

Yellow Warbler 4
Wilson’s Warbler 2
MacGillivray’s Warbler 2
Lincoln’s Sparrow 2
Clay-colored Sparrow 1
Bronzed Cowbird 1
Willow Flycatcher 1
Ladderback Woodpecker 1
Swainson’s Thrush 1, maybe 2
Overall, a pretty nice visit.
