As I was waiting for my daughter to finish her ballet lesson on Monday evening,
I observed eight burrowing owls standing or skulking in the field immediately
to the south of Ballet Lubbock on Genoa Avenue (behind and to the northeast of
Bob Mills Furniture). They've been there all summer, but I never saw this
many. Oddly, saw no prairie dogs.
