Thanks for the heads up Jim. I had a similar problem to Kathy but realplayer ahd taken over my mps files for some reason. I discovered that on the export screen there was a button to launch the file into mapsource after creation and that worked well. Then I also went into windows a few months later (when I got tired of reexporting the same file to be able to open it) and changed the default program for that file extension type.
