Cache is located in a county park, close to a trail.
- This cache contents are primarily for the kids but locating the
cache should be fun for the adults. The cache is a partially clear
container and is loaded with toys. The park has things to climb and play
on. A bathroom is available. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery.
- It may be possible to do this without a GPSR: From the tower I
proceeded on a bearing of about 239 deg to find a trail behind a picnic
table near a stone firepit. I walked down this trail about the same
distance I walked from the tower to the trail until the bearing to the
cache was between about 330 to 335 deg, I could see a nice big white rock
to the right at this point. I made a right turn off the trail and
proceeded to the cache in a clearing and very near a rocky out cropping
area.
- The cache should be fairly well protected from the weather.
- Generally, if I can find a cache within 90 feet or so of the posted
coords, I think the hider has done well. Hopefully, I can get you closer
than that.
- The cache site is a nice place to sit, listen to the breeze in the
trees, look at the countryside below and ponder the general state of
affairs. That?s what I did when I was here.
- Be sure to take a trip to the top of the tower. It?s not required but
it sure is fun.
- Total distance to/from is maybe about 1000feet and this should be an
easy find.
